Not very often you get to support a team that wins the world cup. Particularly for me, who always supported the second most favourites.
A double pleasure - I was telling someone yesterday that Forlan should be the Golden Ball winner.

That's 'one' trip !

Visited Salem this weekend to attend both Yokesh's(Gundan) and Pradeep's(mappaan) wedding.
Reached Salem on Friday evening and I was the only one there from our class. Pradeep came with his wife. At least he came. That was the only hour I spent with someone in the next 20 hours to come.
Slept well for about 9 hours. [Thank God I did that this night].

Got up around 10; Had breakfast; went out around 1pm; had something to drink; lunch - a mutton biriyani at Mangalam; watched Irumbu Kottai Murattu Chingam - very decent movie for the expectations I had; Jaffer/Manokar/Sandy came at about 5PM; picked me from the theatre; Salem club; reception at 7pm; dinner at 8pm; chatting/mokkai till 10pm; party till 12pm. Myself and Jaffer reached the hotel by around 1pm and about to fall asleep by 2pm; Man 'okar came; screwed up the night; I haven't seen many ppl trying to move a wall to create more space; I haven't seen Hercules lifting a television either; Haven't seen someone sleeping naked on a bed on which I slept last night. It was one night to remember though; Somehow managed to spent those 2 hours and took bath; Caught a Coimbatore bus at 5AM - thanks to Jaffer, to catch the flight to Hyd at 10.30AM

Another World Cup. Another debacle.

There is a saying in tamil, "Suya buthi irukanum; illa sol buthi irukanum"

Dhono has neither, damn his gut feel. All the 7 batsmen(except Raina) were useless. 3 mediocre bowlers can't win you any match.

Ok.. Its an indian captain after all.!

Dhoni (may be) deserved it, just for that innings against Punjan scoring 17+ runs in that last over off 4 balls.
Raina - of course dropped twice. Still had to make it count. Did well.
Sachin - strived as well as he could.

Strategy - that was lacking in Mumbai Indians team.

Anyways, a team that went to semifinals in all seasons deserve to win.

2010 - I have the same bike. Now I have a car. To buy the same grocery from the same store, I go on Car..
